Rating: 90 points
Drink 2005-2009
The 2003 Grenache Judge Family Vineyard is a full-throttle, sexy effort with an intoxicating perfume of incense, plum liqueur, kirsch, pepper, and spice box. With loads of glycerin, huge body, heady levels of fruit, and a big, expansive, fruit and alcohol-filled finish, it is about as sexy and heady as Grenache can be. Consume it over the next 3-4 years to take advantage of its stunning fruit.

Rating: 92 points
Drink 2005-2013
Ratcheting up the level of concentration, complexity, and perfume is the opaque blue/purple-hued 2003 Syrah Rosella's Vineyard. A voluptuous wine with abundant amounts of creme de cassis, blackberry, forest floor, and pen ink aromas, this is a high octane Syrah with fine underlying acidity as well as sweet tannin. This superb example of Central Coast Syrah should drink well for 7-8 years.
